SCHOOL SUPPORT STAFF JOB EVALUATION

Information from UNISON that schools support staff may find useful on the release of job evaluation scores

Following pressure from UNISON, Notts County Council has agreed to extend the deadline for the submission of appeal information to May 31st.

Heads are being sent this information and you will receive a letter from NCC to your home address giving you this information.

We will be in contact with all stewards, workplace contacts and Unison JE reps in schools/other educational establishments to invite them to Unison briefing sessions after the Easter break.

If your school has not nominated a workplace contact/JE rep or elected a steward then you should so now. The Unison briefings will clarify what should have happened so far, what information you should have had access to and what should have been submitted and how the appeals process will work.

It is important that a representative from every school attends one of these briefing sessions. Look out for the letter from NCC and when you get back to school, check who the workplace contact/steward/JE rep is and make sure that someone attends the Unison briefing.

WE’RE THE BIGGEST AND THE BEST

Notts UNISON is bigger than all the other unions added together – in schools alone we have more than 4,000 members and there’s a good reason for that!

People join UNISON because we’re the best – and if you’ve got a problem, you’d want the best representative wouldn’t you?

Notts UNISON attends all of the meetings that matter to members. Our Stewards and Branch Officers attend every meeting where terms and conditions are negotiated, every meeting where Health & Safety is on the agenda, every meeting with the employer when restructures are planned - and they are often the only union reps there. Because of the knowledge of the Branch Officers and Stewards and the ability of the branch to organise and represent members the employers listen to Notts UNISON.

If you want to be part of the union that your employer takes notice of, join UNISON. Application form here
